Switchgear/Mechanical Technician

Location: Chantilly, VA

Industry: Mechanic Technician
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary: Will depend on skill level

Description: Systems Technology Inc. seeks a self-motivated Technician. Must have strong mechanical aptitude and understanding on mechanical components.

Responsibilities:

• Work on low and medium voltage circuit breakers performing preventive maintenance and refurbishing breakers
• Disassemble breakers to their smallest components and perform inspection for wear and damage
• Must reassemble all breaker component parts, along with any required wiring and upgrades kits
• Must be able to troubleshoot, repair, and test circuit breakers
• Technician must perform the final setups and adjustments each breaker

Educational requirements:

• High School Diploma or better required.

Experience requirements:

• Minumum 3 years of a mechanical background

Desired Skills:

• Good oral and written communication skills
• Read and understand blueprint and schematics for assembly and troubleshooting.

• Team-oriented.
• Self-motivated.
• Learns quickly.
